Effective date: May 2025  |  Last modified: May 2026

This Privacy Policy governs StrutFit's AR Try On feature for footwear (the “AR Try On Feature”). The AR Try On Feature allows customers to use their device camera to virtually try on footwear in real time. We have designed this feature with privacy at its core. This policy explains exactly what data is — and is not — collected when you use it.

Our Core Commitment

When you use the AR Try On Feature:

Your camera is used solely to render a live virtual try-on experience. Nothing is saved. Nothing leaves your device.

What the AR Try On Feature Does and Does Not Collect

What we do NOT collect

What we do collect

Use of the AR Try On Feature may involve collection of limited, non-identifiable technical data, including:

This data is used solely to operate and improve the AR Try On Feature and is not used to identify or profile individual users.

How the AR Try On Feature Works

The AR Try On Feature uses your device's camera to display a live, augmented reality overlay of footwear on or near your feet. This processing occurs entirely within your browser or app session:

You will be prompted by your device to grant camera permission before using this feature. You can revoke this permission at any time through your device or browser settings. Revoking camera permission will prevent use of the AR Try On Feature but will not affect any other StrutFit functionality.

Camera Permission

Access to your device camera requires your explicit consent. This permission is requested by your device's operating system or browser and is governed by its permission model. StrutFit:

You can revoke camera permission at any time. If you are using the AR Try On Feature through a retail partner's site or app, the camera permission request may appear under that partner's domain or app name. The data handling described in this policy still applies.

Third Parties

No image or video data from the AR Try On Feature is shared with any third party. The limited non-identifiable technical data described above (product views, session analytics) may be shared with service providers solely for the purpose of operating the AR Try On Feature. Such providers are contractually prohibited from using this data for any other purpose.

If you access the AR Try On Feature through a StrutFit retail partner's website or application, please also review that partner's privacy policy. StrutFit's handling of AR Try On data is governed by this policy regardless of how you access the feature.

The AR Try On Feature is powered by Snap Camera Kit, a technology provided by Snap Inc. By using this feature, you acknowledge that Snap's Privacy Policy also applies to Snap's processing of data in connection with the delivery of Camera Kit. You are encouraged to review Snap's Privacy Policy before using this feature.

The AR Try On Feature is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If you believe a child has used this feature, please contact us at privacy@strut.fit.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the AR Try On Feature or applicable law. We will indicate the date of the most recent update at the top of this document. Continued use of the AR Try On Feature after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
